Run for Office

Local government is where change begins. The decisions made by your school board, borough council, and township supervisors directly impact your daily life—from property taxes and education to public safety and local infrastructure. When good people step forward to serve, our communities thrive.

Why Local Office Matters

While national politics often dominates the headlines, local elected officials make the decisions that most directly affect your family:

  • School Boards determine educational policies, curriculum choices, and how your tax dollars are spent on our children's education

  • Borough Councils and Township Supervisors manage local budgets, oversee development, maintain public safety, and shape the character of our neighborhoods

  • Mayors provide leadership and vision for our communities while managing day-to-day municipal operations

These positions require dedicated individuals who will prioritize fiscal responsibility, protect our children, and preserve the values that make our area a great place to live and raise families.

Our 2025 Success Story

We are proud to announce that through our dedicated recruitment efforts, KSQ Area GOP has assembled an outstanding slate of candidates for the 2025 elections!

Thanks to concerned citizens who answered the call to serve, we are fielding quality candidates across multiple municipalities and the Kennett Consolidated School District:

  • Kennett Square Borough: Mayoral candidate and multiple borough council candidates

  • Kennett Township: Supervisor candidate

  • New Garden Township: Multiple supervisor candidates

  • Kennett Consolidated School District: School board director candidates representing multiple regions

These candidates bring diverse backgrounds and deep community roots—from educators and business owners to veterans and financial executives. Each is committed to bringing fresh perspectives, accountability, and conservative values to local governance.

"Our successful recruitment effort shows what's possible when concerned citizens decide to make a difference. Every one of these candidates stepped forward because they care about the future of our community."

- Ted Moxon, former Area 17 Chair

The Impact of Our Efforts

The results of our recruitment campaign demonstrate that good people are willing to serve when asked. By identifying potential candidates early, providing information about the process, and offering support, we've transformed concern into action.

This success didn't happen by accident. It required:

  • Early outreach to identify potential candidates

  • Clear communication about what serving in local office entails

  • Support throughout the petition and filing process

  • Building a team of candidates who share common values and goals

Could You Be Our Next Candidate?

You don't need to be a career politician to make a difference in local government. Our most effective local leaders are ordinary citizens who decided to step forward: small business owners, parents, retirees, professionals, and community volunteers.
