Stand With Your Neighbors — Tell Kennett Township No New Taxes

Updated: Dec 2, 2025

Dear Kennett Township Neighbor,

Kennett Township is considering a significant municipal expansion—one that could lead directly to higher taxes, increased spending, and more burdens on local families and homeowners. Many residents are concerned that this proposed growth is unnecessary, costly, and out of touch with what our community actually needs.

You have a voice in this decision, and now is the time to use it. A petition (on Change.org) has been launched by local residents calling for a stop to the expansion and for fiscal responsibility from our township leadership.

Important Info:

  • On November 5, 2025 - Board of Supervisors voted to advertise a budget that includes a .10 mil, or 2.8% tax increase, to fund a proposed municipal building expansion (including a $10 million police station).

  • The Board projects a roughly 20% tax increase over the next few years.

The Board is voting on the first tax increase at their December 3rd Public Meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
